Fever outbreak in Ryanggang Province sparks fears of COVID-19
A fever outbreak in Taehongdan County, Ryanggang Province, has sparked fears of the spread of COVID-19 in the area.
There was an increasing number of people who had body temperatures of 38 to 40 degrees Celsius from an unknown cause in the county. On April 27, the situation became grave, with 21 deaths.
The local authorities called them simple cases of fever, but medicines used to treat fever were reportedly having no effect.
The public health authorities in Ryanggang Province are alarmed by the spread of the illness, but it seemed to be no appropriate countermeasures. ......
