Voice of America reported that Qatar construction company namely Construction Development Company (CDC) fired 90 North Korean laborers for breaching labor regulations.

VOA explained that workers had repeatedly violated local laws and supervisors continually forced inhumane working conditions on their laborers. Initially CDC was planning on firing all 192 of its North Korean workers, but changed their mind after much discussion with the North Korean Embassy, stationed in Qatar.

However, CDC did make it clear that in the future they would fire any North Korean workers who failed to follow the renowned construction companys working regulations.
