North Korea rejected a recent U.N. resolution urging the international community to take action against those responsible for human rights violations in North Korea.

A representative from North Korea’s foreign ministry said, via the Chosun Central News Agency, that the country “totally opposes and rejects” the resolution. The representative went on to say that “America, who has no right to speak of genuine human rights, as well as the powers that follow them, are schemers when it comes to the politicization, selectivity and double standards surrounding human rights.”
