North Korea orders universities to prevent students from traveling during summer break
The State Emergency Anti-Epidemic Command and the education ministry in North Korea instructed universities to prevent students living in dormitories from traveling during summer vacation. Particularly, preventing them from returning to their hometowns. This order came out to block the spread of COVID-19 during this upcoming summer break.
The authorities planned to keep students busy learning online or following university activities during vacation. However, university officials are complaining that this order makes no sense since universities dont afford food or money and that dormitories should at least supply students with clean drinking water, disinfect showers, bathrooms and shared facilities to keep up with this plan.
