North Korea authorizes plan to sell pine nuts to China
The provincial leadership of North Hamgyong Province concluded a contract to sell pine nuts for foreign currency with a Chinese trading company after receiving authorization from the central government. This latter ordered to conduct trade while fully taking measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
However, the Central government ordered the province to send the pine nuts to Nampo Port because of lacking quarantine and disinfection facilities for trade in North Hamgyong Province.
The Chinese trade company will be providing food, sugar, fertilizer, cooking oil and other items needed by ordinary people to improve their lives.
