North Koreans are reportedly prohibited to have conversations with foreign visitors who are traveling in the reclusive country. According to an inside source from Pyongyang who spoke with the Daily NK on October 10th, anyone who attempts to talk with travelers or begs for food will be severely punished by the regimes harsh legal system.
The source added that, North Korean government officials have been issuing instructions on foreigners and given lectures to its people since the start of this month. The lecturers have been saying to local people that If asked for directions from foreign strangers, you must firstly inform a Peoples Security agent. For the purpose of surveillance, all visitors from the outside of North Korea are assigned tour guides.
