Hwacheon in Gangwon Province is to be the location of a second resettlement center for North Korean defectors the South Korean government announced last Thursday. The center will open on the 5th of December.

 

The resettlement center assists North Korean defectors to adjust to life in a capitalist society. It teaches defectors how to undertake day to day tasks.
