North Korean Children are Underweight

Radio Free Asia reported on the 5th that 28% of North Korean children under the age of 5 have growth problems and 15% are underweight.

According to a preliminary report that the North Korean regime submitted to the UN, the ratio of children, who have growth problems, has decreased 4.5% in the last 3 years, and the ratio of underweight children has decreased 5%.

A spokesman for the UN World Food Program explained that the nutritive conditions of North Korean children has improved but they still are not reaching the international standard. As a result, many North Korean children are still dying from malnutrition.
