North Korea has been allegedly holding in detention a Korean-American male for over a month. The Korean-American is said to be a tour operator who was in charge of a group of foreign tourists visiting the country for five days. A member of his tour party is said to have been holding a computer disk that contained sensitive information.
The State Department in the US confirmed that they had heard the reports, but would neither confirm nor deny whether the reports were accurate. Victoria Nuland, spokeswoman for the State Department, said that, "We obviously have no higher priority than the welfare of our citizens."
