A new phone charger, which has been released by technicians in North Korea, has taken off.
Due to the persistent problems with electrical supply, the innovation, a D/C charger rather than the standard charger for connecting to the mains, is said to be increasingly popular with cell phone owners in the country.
The innovation came about because of the electrical supply problems. In an attempt to solve the problems of not being able to charge cell phones, technicians were asked by traders to create something; the charger, which connects with 12V Chinese household and car batteries, was the result.
The invention will no doubt be of great help to the countrys estimated 1.5 million cell phone owners.
