Radio Free Asia has reported that the North Korean authorities will put the story of Kim Jong Euns childhood in North Koreas school textbooks from this April.
It was previously established that the North Korean authorities were planning on publishing new textbooks to coincide with the enforcement of 12 years of compulsory education. A source in North Korea said that a textbook about Kim Jong Euns childhood will be issued which is especially focused for use in 1st and 2nd grade classes in elementary schools. However, there is little information about the new textbooks, so peoples curiosity about the contents is growing.
In 2009, the story of Kim Jong Euns childhood and revolutionary history was published on a trial basis. However, criticisms about distortion and exaggeration were raised, so those releases were immediately halted. Thus, the source reported that many North Korean people are getting curious about what the new textbook will say about Kim Jong Eun.
