According to Radio Free Asia, the North Korean authorities are recently increasing the strength of their jamming of TV signals, so North Korean people in some regions are unable to watch South Korean TV.

One source in North Korea stated that the authorities felt people watching South Korean TV was getting beyond security agents control, so they are using much stronger jamming and are strictly blocking the inflow of outside information. However, the selling of USBs, which contain South Korean dramas or movies, has increased.

However, the source said that since South Korean dramas and movies are just for entertainment, they do not deliver outside news well.
