The United Nations Development Program has reported that the illiteracy rate in North Korea is 0%. In a report just released, the UNDP found that the average life expectancy in the country is 69.

The UNDP’s ‘Human Development Report 2013’ shows that the percentage of employment of North Korean youth is 78.7% and that 18% of North Korean children aged less than 5 years old are underweight. Also, the maternal mortality rate is still high.
