Radio Free Asia has reported that North Korean merchants are having a hard time because of the regimes announcement of war.

As the North Korean authorities announced the threat of war, food prices have increased and trade has decreased in the country.

According to Jang Se Youl, the president of Kyereaul Unification Solidarity, rice prices in North Korea jumped to 7,200 won. The regime does not distribute food so people are trying to sell things in the marketplace. However, people do not have enough money, so selling their goods is difficult.

Since the atmosphere of war is rising, the unstable situation continues in North Korea.
