According to Radio Free Asia, black-market trade in North Korea is increasing as the war tensions on the peninsula subsides.

An overseas Chinese trader, who trades between Pyongyang and China, said that since the market has become active once more, they have sold all their stored goods. Another trader said that since all goods were sold out, the supply of Chinese goods is insufficient.

As the war tensions within North Korea has decreased, trade of wheat, rice, etc. between China and North Korea has increased. However, the sources speculated that the increased black-market activities would not last long.
