A rumor is spreading in cities along the North Korea-China border about the supposed execution of Hyun Song Wol, an opera singer who was said to have previously been in an illicit relationship with Kim Jong Eun. According to the rumor, she was executed after she "produced an impure video and sold it overseas".

 

When North Korean singers and movie stars lose popularity, they often find themselves with few options and begin making "suspect materials" in order to earn a living. It is therefore possible that Hyun Song Wol began to appear in pornographic films in order to make ends meet.

 

In the past, North Korean entertainers, writers, and others have been executed for committing indiscretions, and it would not be acceptable for someone linked to the supreme leader to have done such a thing.
