Recently, six defector children were caught by the Laotian government, but the South Korean embassy secured their safety, Voice of America reported.

 

According to a person in a North Korean human rights organization in Seoul, about 10 days ago, six defector children and their guardian were caught by the Laotian police. However, the South Korean embassy reacted quickly and took jurisdiction over them. South Korea’s Foreign Ministry has yet to confirm specific details for their security.
