Japan’s Tokyo Shinbun reported on the 7th that the North Korean authorities carried out a large-scale special pardon for the 65th anniversary of the Founding Day of North Korea.

 

Those pardoned will include prisoners in reeducation and labor camps. Political prisoners have been excluded. It is unknown if Korean American Kenneth Bae will be included in this special pardon.
