According to the Dong-A Ilbo, North Korea has introduced a new economic system plan, which, if carried out, could bring a huge change to North Korean society.

Some possible outcomes of this new economic system plan are: the establishment of companies by individuals, the decrease of states executive nomination rights on existing companies, the drastic reduction of the function and role of the Workers Party, and the opening up of the North Korean markets.

A source on North Korea stated that administrative workers and laborers are welcoming and supporting this new economic system. Still, it remains to be seen if this new economic system plan will bring about any real change in North Korea. Perhaps only time will tell.
