North Korean people are busy buying fuel as winter is around the corner, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported. However, the high prices for coal increase the peoples concern.
As the demand for coal increases, the price rose 10 percent, the source told to RFA. One ton of coal is selling at the price of 300,000 North Korean won. In order to survive, a North Korean family would need three tons of coal – to pay for it, people need 700,000~1,000,000 North Korean won.
However, a common North Korean persons daily income does not exceed 13, 000 North Korean won, which is earned by doing business at the market. Whilst, well-off North Korean people dont have to worry about the upcoming winter but common citizens are full of concern.
