More North Korean overseas workers return home
Around 30 people, who used to work at the Pyongyang Koryo Pavilion located in Dandong, China, returned to North Korea ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Daily NKs internal source reported that the Pyongyang Koryo Pavilion was the largest one of North Koreas overseas restaurants, which employed 200 people, but shut down in November last year due to intensifying international sections.
In September 2017, Chinas Commerce Ministry ordered the closure of North Korean companies operating inside the country within 120 days of UN Resolution 2375, which passed on September 11, 2017. The ministry also announced that Chinese joint ventures with North Koreans and North Korean companies would be closed.
