On the 25th of last month, Jeong Kwang-il, a survivor from a North Korean prison camp, revealed the reality of North Korean prison camps during a Testimony on the Reality of Yodeok Prison Camp, which was held by the Council for Human Rights in North Korea (HRNK) in Toronto.

Mr. Jeong said that he worked at a North Korean trade company in China and earned lots of Chinese currency, so he received an award for his efforts from Kim Jong Il. However, because he traded with South Koreans, he was taken to a prison camp and was tortured. He added that North Koreans idolize the Supreme Leader and even family members watch each other to report on non-compliance of the idolatry.

Lee Kyung Bok, the president of HRNK, said that the UN Human Rights Council will discuss about the establishment of an inquiry into human rights abused in North Korea this month and, should that occur, Kim Jong Eun and other leaders in North Korea will be brought in front of the International Court.
