A senior North Korean diplomat, Kim Son-gyong, visited London to mitigate the international pressure on Pyongyang over its human rights record. The visit came after the Third Committee of the U.N. General Assembly passed a resolution on November 19 that calls for referring North Korea to the International Criminal Court for its human rights violations. While in London, Kim held meetings with Fiona Bruce, a member of parliament who co-chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on North Korea. During his visit to London, Kim insisted that the country is making efforts to improve its human rights record. Source: The Korea Times
