US: NK human rights, the worst in the world

The State Department of the US released Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2014 on the 26th. It evaluated the human rights conditions of North Korea as definitely one of the worst in the world.

This report contains the worst evaluation of North Korea, compared to any other reports published during the Obama Administration.  The previous reports of the Administration used such words as poor, deplorable, or grim to describe North Korean human rights conditions. However, this report says that The human rights record of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) remained among the worst in the world and came under particular scrutiny this year. This change in tone suggests that the State Departments report largely reflected the COI reports contents.
