N.Korea Rejects S.Koreas offer of powdered milk aid for Children

North Korea on Wednesday refused to receive powdered milk provided by the Korea Red Cross as part of humanitarian assistance.

The Korea Red Cross reported through Panmunjom that they would offer 25 ton of powdered milk for North Korean children, but North Korea refused the offer and gave no reason for their refusal.

The supplies were financed by Women advisory committee for Volunteering work of the Korea Red Cross. The committee sent 20 tons of powdered milk to the North in 2009.

The Source who worked as a teacher in North Korea said that The powdered milk offered by South Korea in 2000s had delivered to the most vulnerable to malnutrition, helped save many lives.
