Russia delivers 50,000 tons of food to North Korea

Pyongyang, 10 November: The delivery of 50,000 tons of food donated to the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] by the Russian government was completed with due ceremony at Nampho Port today.

Present there were Kim Ji-sok, vice-minister of Food Procurement and Administration, and officials concerned of the DPRK and Ambassador Valeriy Sukhinin and staff members of the Russian embassy here.

Russia's donation of food to the DPRK is an encouragement to the Korean people in speeding up the building of a thriving country. It will also be helpful to further developing the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
