The North Korean regime has issued orders to reverse last months announcement that farmers were only allowed 10 pyeong of farmland. 0.3025 pyeong is equal to 1 square meter.
At the time of last month's orders, the authorities announced that they would seize any remaining land for collective farmland. A source told the Daily NK on the 20th that this had been reversed.
The orders given by the authorities to stop farming on hillsides have also been reversed. The source told the Daily NK that the regime has encouraged farmers instead to plant trees on hillside plots.
The latest announcement on farmland comes after last years announcement of relatively major agricultural reforms which have as yet to come to fruition.
