North Korean Economy Watch, the North Korean economy news and analysis website, has reported that there may be a new political prison camp (kwan-li-so) in the same area as Camp 14 in Kaechon County, South Pyongan Province.

Updated Google Earth images recently released shows an area with a visible perimeter that resembles other political prison camps, according to North Korean Economy Watch. The potential new camp was built sometime between December 2006 and September 2011.

The new camp could be a part of Camp 14 as it shares a 3km border with the existing known perimeter of Camp 14. The new camp has a border of almost 20km. It features two entrances at the northwestern edge of the camp. There is also an entrance at the southern side. There appears to be 6 buildings, 3 of which are identical, that have been built around the perimeter. There are also residential and administrative buildings visible on the updated images.

As yet, there is no confirmation that there is a new camp in the area.
